ISO Category II
Have you been a part of a Vibration Analysis program at your facility for some time now? Do you know you could do more to contribute to the success of the program? Do you need to expand your knowledge base? Our ISO Category II Seminar is the perfect way to accomplish these tasks and more!
This three-day seminar builds from the ISO CATEGORY I course and provides the essential information in a generic manner for implementing a successful PdM program and is intended as an introduction to vibration analysis and predictive maintenance.
Emphasis is on how to detect a series of fundamental machinery problems from our world-renowned Illustrated Vibration Diagnostics Chart that describes: (1) unbalance, (2) misalignment, (3) rotor eccentricity, (4) mechanical looseness, (5) belt drive problems, and (6) soft foot problems using both spectral and phase analysis.
Introductory information for detection of resonance, rolling element bearing, gear, flow related and electrical problems is also given.
A proven tabulated procedure, How to Specify Meaningful Overall and Spectral Band Alarms for a Variety of Machinery Types and Operating Speeds clearly shows how to specify alarm levels for individual frequency bands; the beginning and ending frequencies for each of the available spectral alarm bands; recommended frequency range, #FFT lines, number of averages and proper vibration parameter for each point taking into account the machine type, operating speed range, machine components and drive type.
Measurement pitfalls are discussed, along with their effect on problem diagnoses and evaluation of problem severity.
Real-world case histories are provided to clearly illustrate the diagnostic methods taught and how they were used to detect and resolve the problems plaguing the machines or how the root causes of the problems were uncovered. (100 page Case History Section)
