Time Waveform Analysis

TIME WAVEFORM ANALYSIS ON ROTATING MACHINERY

Are you taking full advantage of the vibration data being gathered by your personnel?

Many times, the time waveform is often glazed over because it can be more difficult to interpret than normal spectral data. This would be a mistake as the time waveform is a critical aspect of identifying and assigning criticality to machine anomalies.

  • OVERVIEW

    • 3-Day Class: Tuesday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm
    • No Certification Testing

This three-day seminar provides in-depth coverage of Time Waveforms and how they can be used to detect a wide variety of faults, plus how they can be used to assess the severity of such faults. While the focus of the class is on vibration time waveforms, it likewise clearly shows how a different approach should be taken when acquiring and evaluating High Frequency Envelope (HFE) waveforms versus classic vibration waveforms (including a difference in setup parameters for HFE waveforms).

  • PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

    • Shows how to detect faults using waveform “pattern recognition” and provides real insight on evaluating fault severity.
    • Proves how waveforms often are a much better indicator of fault severity - particularly those caused by bearing, gear, lubrication, rotor rub and impact-type problems.
    • Includes a series of real-world case studies to clearly demonstrate how time waveforms should best be used to evaluate rotating machinery.
  • PREREQUISITES

    • Recommended Minimum Vibration Analysis Experience = 2 years.
    • Prior Experience with Spectral Analysis of Vibration data is recommended.
  • SEMINAR FEES

    SEMINAR FEE: $1645
